Warranty and Maintenance
- KiwiColour products come with comprehensive written warranties backed by Kiwi Steel, with warranty periods specific to a particular building and location. Please request a warranty upon project completion as warranties may not automatically apply
- Our residential roofing warranties meet the NZ Building code requiring minimum durability of 15 years
- Consult with your local KiwiColour supplier or installer for advice on product choice and the required maintenance for the best performance of your KiwiColour product
- There are specific maintenance requirements that need to be followed to uphold the validity of your KiwiColour warranty which are detailed on the following page
Perforation and Paint
- The KiwiColour product warranty consists of two parts, the ‘perforation’ warranty and the ‘paint’ warranty
- Perforation warranty covers perforation coming as result of corrosion
- Paint warranty covers the paint surface against flaking, peeling, and excessive fading
Environment – Things to Consider
- All environmental factors for the location must be reported to Kiwi Steel before a warranty can be issued
- If recommended and standard installation practice is not followed then the KiwiColour warranty may be void
- Warranty periods may differ from standard subject to specific environmental conditions
- Special consideration should be given for any of following areas
- Geothermal Area
- Adjacent industrial environment
- Agricultural environment (animal farming etc)
- Heavy wind area causing a severe coastal environment
Residential
- All warranty periods apply only to residential buildings
- For other applications such as commercial buildings or schools, please contact the Kiwi Steel team for specific warranty periods. The maximum warranty period offered for non-residential buildings is 15 years
